Para sa Bayan at sa Aking | Francisco Maniquiz Gregorio

In 1939, Philippine Constabulary Captain Francisco Maniquiz Gregorio held his newborn daughter Teresita in his arms, then returned to duty with the 1st Davao Company. He never came home.

On July 10, 1942, Japanese forces executed Gregorio and seven other men at Magugpo (now Tagum City, Davao del Norte). They were forced to dig their own graves. Their remains were never recovered.
Eighty-four years later, Teresita is still searching for the father she never knew. This song tells their story.
