Stories of Sacrifice - POW/MIAs - CLASSIFIED LT Nininger & LT David Maynard EP23

Word received the DPAA is being forced by the DoD to disinter the remains X-1130 from Manila American Cemetery after the Nininger family asks that his name be removed from all federal facilities. The DoD reversed course and instructed the DPAA to disinter those remains for identification. Private researchers are certain X-1130 is Nininger. If not they could possibly be LT David Maynard or another 57 Infantry Regiment (PS) officer who died the same day. We examine the classified file associated with this case.
